Amelia Island

Our trip was complete with an Easter egg hunt. Jay found the most eggs, but was not at all interested in the candy.

We ate at a great local restaurant - Sandy Bottoms, our table was literally on the beach. There was live music and after dinner we got to relax while Ellie fell asleep in her carrier and Jay and Andrew played on the beach. perfect!

In April we picked up and went to Amelia Island, FL over Easter weekend and it was AWESOME! The weather was perfect and it was so nice to get away for a long holiday. We had a chance to visit with Mary, Nick, and baby Bill, and it was so wonderful to bond as a family. Jay and Andrew loved the beach, and on Easter Sunday we went to a beautiful sunrise servive on the beach. And this year our 7th wedding anniversary was Easter Sunday - and what a wonderful 7 years it has been.

I am finally revisiting the blog - cannot believe my last post was in May about Ellie's baptism in March! We traveled a bit in April and May so there is lots to catch up on. But, tonight I will start with a few candid pics of the kiddos enjoying the summer. Ellie is now 9 months old! She is sprouting her first tooth and playing around on the floor. She isn't crawling yet. We are starting to potty train Andrew, and Jay is counting down the days to his 5th birthday. More to come this week of past events. Love to all!

Ellie's Baptism

The past 2 months have been quite busy for us! We kick started our spring with Ellie's baptism here in Atlanta on March 27. Mimi (Scott's Mom), and PatsyMom and PapaDoc (my parents) were here to celebrate with us. Despite the rainy weather, we had a great weekend. Thanks to all who helped us celebrate!

Putt Putt

Scott took the boys to play putt putt golf one Sunday about a month ago. Apparently Andrew wanted to climb all over the miniature buildings and wasn't very good with the clubs either. In summary, this adventure fell a little short of parent/child bond expectations; good thing they are all still so young, I have a feeling there are plenty of other putt putt rounds in our future.

Re-wind

Scott has hasseled me now for several weeks about updating the blog with pics from the Monster Truck Jam he and Jay attended in February. Jay's love for cars and trucks continues to THRIVE and this was a BIG event for him. His favorite, of course, was GraveDigger. I am just so thankful that I didn't have to go. And here's a video that I know all of you are on the edge of your seats to see.

New Ramblings

So, I think I'm going to experiment a bit with my blog, add more things in here about everyday life, you know like what we are having for dinner, what I'm reading, or thinking in particular about whatever is going on with our parenting situations. Just lately, and maybe it's a product of being a stay at home mom with limited adult interaction, but I feel like I have ALOT to say about ALOT of things, and with the wonderful world of blogging, I may just find an audience, who knows, at least our families will still check out the pics of our kids. :)

It's spring break here in metro Atlanta, the kids are out of school, all activities have been suspended for 1 week, IF you are one of the ones on a fabulous beach vacation - congrats, spring break will surely be fabulous. However, I sit here at home for a STAYcation (what a load of crap that word is - really??), I meet spring break with welcome arms and ANXIETY about being at home all week with three kids - what shall we do??? In all fairness, it is nice to have a break from the weekly shuttle, and we are no where near the days filled with multiple events at the same time. Today we went to the gym, had lunch with Daddy at Chick-fil-A, and then painted our various home depot kid projects.

TIP: Home Depot has FREE parent/child build workshops where you can go and build a little trinket in a pre-assembled kit with your child. Our local Home Depot holds them the first Saturday of each month, 9-12noon. It's a drop-in type event, there is no need to be there for 3 hours, in fact most of the projects take less than 20 min. to assemble. Jay and Andrew have made spice racks, flower boxes, bird houses, cars, peg shelves, you get the idea. Check it out at your local Home Depot!

It's midnight now, and the line of severe thunderstorms forecasted has finally beared down on us and BOOM, our lovely little boys woke up and now they are watching their first NCAA tournament come to a close - One Shining Moment. Congrats UCONN, but I so wish Butler could have brought home the WIN. Now, can I really get Jay and Andrew back to bed? It's midnight for crying out loud!

The mighty 3

Here are the mighty Marcille 3 Superbowl Sunday. This, prior to a noravirus hitting our house Monday afternoon. Since then, our house has been a puking disaster followed by numerous loads of laundry and several hours of lost sleep. In all, Jay, Andrew, myself, and Scott were hit by the bug, Ellie seems to be OK - let's hope she continues to be spared. We hope you all out there are healthy and happy!!! Atlanta is gearing up for another snow storm, but the weather experts say this one will be fast moving.
