Children's Museum

Mimi and Pops are here! This morning we visited the Atlanta Children's Museum where Jay played for 2 solid hours busy painting, fishing, playing with moon sand, ran around with a mini grocery cart, and happily played with several balls. A truly fun family event!

Blizzard 2008!

We're having a blizzard in Atlanta! OK - so maybe it's a stretch to call 2-4 inches of snow a blizzard, but it's the most snow we've seen since 2001. Jay got a kick out of it - didn't know much what to do - and it was so much fun watching him waddle around in his big ole' coat!

Fun at Peachtree-DeKalb Airport

Peachtree-DeKalb Airport is a facility near our home that services small private planes and jets. They have an awesome playground for kids! Jay LOVES airplanes, so it's a fun place to watch the planes come and go and let Jay run around for a while. Here are some pics from our visit last Sunday, January 13.

New Look for Mommy!

Yeah! Scott is now home after a long work trip - Jay is so excited to see him and is looking forward to spending a lot of time with DAD! Here he is sporting his new shirt from Grandma Mimi. Today was a big day for me as well. My wonderful hair stylist cut ten inches off my hair, which will be donated to Locks for Love charity. See the before and after... bye, bye long, stringy hair - hello bob! It will be fun for a while, but I'm not sure I'll have the patience to grow my hair that long again.

Spring like weather continues to spoil us this week. Jay is taking full advantage in the yard everyday. He tries desparately to hit the tee-ball with the bat, but the bat is still too heavy for the little tike. Instead, he ends up using the bat like a golf club to hit the large hard plastic like baseballs. Do I see a future golfer? As long as he doesn't throw clubs, I'm all for it! Go Jay!

Hooray for the Mountaineers!

Jay would like to give a big shout out to the West Virginia Mountaineers for their impressive win over the Oklahoma Sooners this past Wednesday night in the Fiesta Bowl! Go Eer's!

Beautiful Friday!

It's Friday! Gymboree day for Jay and I! It's still very cold here in Atlanta, but warmer than yesterday so we went outside for some "playtime" just before the afternoon nap. FUN! Jay loves to play outside, which will bode well for me in the future. In today's pics you can see him playing with balls, our dog Maggie, and "pretending" to rake the leaves.

WOW we are now part of the wonderful world of blogging! Seems to be a good way to stay in touch and let you all know about current Jay happenings and other Marcille news. Today is New Year's Day and we are sitting around the house watching football thankful for a healthy 2007 and looking forward to a prosperous 2008!
