The Saints

Here is Jay with his classmates.

Holidays 2010

It's been a busy Christmas season so far! The boys are officially done with school until 2011 - since when is Christmas break 3 WEEKS? jeez... The house is decorated, Jay and Andrew sat on Santa's lap here at our neighborhood breakfast, Ellie and I went to see Jay sing in his Christmas program at school, afterwards Jay and I ate too many goodies at the cookie social. Here are a few pics, will update with more in a few days! Our tree - the boys LOVE looking and playing with all the ornaments.
Jay on stage ready to sing. As the teachers were marching and lining up all the 3 and 4 year olds (four classes total) they were playing "Oh When the Saints Go Marching In." ha ha.

Jay and I making his favorite chocolate chip cookies from scratch for his social.

Andrew visiting with Santa.

And Jay visiting with Santa. He said, "I want a remote control black fire truck." hmmmm.

Our little Princess...

I apologize for how long it's been since my last post. Taking care of 3 little ones is a busy, busy job! This update is dedicated to Miss Ellie. She is just shy of 10 weeks. These photos were taken just before her 2 month birthday - on 11/21/10 to be exact. At her 8 week pediatrician appointment she weighed in at 10.2 lbs and is 23 inches long. She is a tall baby! She has Jay's big eyes and last night she slept 9 continuous hours! YEAH!!! We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Our house is already buzzing with Christmas spirit. We trimmed the tree last night and our Elf on the Shelf has returned to keep an eye on our mischievious boys. J and A are very excited about all the Christmas activities and Ellie sleeps through most of the commotion! Warm wishes to all! Here is the nursery transformed into a girly space - having a girl is FUN! These were my curtains growing up. PatsyMom shipped them to me recently now that she is finally painting my old room. My original plan was to cut them up into a different design, but they fit perfectly, so they will hang "as is." I barely have time to take a shower, I'm not sure when I would have time to cut and sew anyway - ha - what was I thinking, really? I think they give the room an instant princess feel - what do you think?
Ellie at 8 weeks - 11/21/10. She looks alot like Jay.

oooooo.....

ahhhhh....

So cute and cuddly (when she's not crying!) xo

Soccer anyone?

Scott took this little video earlier this fall during Jay's soccer season. Watch to the end.. hee hee.

Happy Birthday Andrew!

Andrew turned 2 on Thursday, November 4! We celebrated with a family outing to Chuck E. Cheese and then with cake and presents at home. He had a great time and loved all his gifts! Andrew was such a good baby!!! Hopefully he won't live up to the "Terrible Two" mantra... !!! It's so fun to see how much he has changed.
Here's little Andrew when he was born.... it was election day!
and here he is at 1 year old...
... and now at 2!!! He loved his little car cakes - a big hit!
and he ate them! unlike his older brother.
Father and son...

Ellie gave Andrew a baby doll since he loves playing with Ellie so much! He loves his new baby!
but... Andrew is a boy and loves playing games with Dad .

but most of all, Andrew wants to be 4, like his older brother Jay. Love to all!!

Trick or Treat

I just had to share this pic Scott toke of our little pirate and clown off trick or treating. It melted my heart watching them hold hands... in the beginning - then Jay ran off leaving Andrew in his dust.

October 2010

October has been a busy month full of helpful family visitors, fall fun, and Halloween festivities! First, my sister, Mary, came to visit with her son, Bill, for a whole week! We all made it out one afternoon to a pumpkin patch not far from our home. The boys loved riding the ponies and roaming around the pumpkins. Then, PatsyMom and PapaDoc came back to help out while Scott was away for an extended business trip. The boys were spoiled once again with trips to the Chattahoochee Nature Center and another pumpkin patch. This past week we entertained Jim and Donna Marcille - aka: Pops and Mimi. They were a big help with the boys, carving pumpkins, handing out candy, and allowing Scott and I to attend both the boys' preschool parties. Whew! We couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity to see so many family members in 1 month! Enjoy the pics! More of Ellie to come soon - we can't believe she is already 1 month+. Time flies...
October 2, 2010 - the Colorado Buffalos beat the Georgia Bulldogs in Boulder! It was a great football game, Colorado 29, Georgia 27 - go Buffs!

Billy boy!
Jay on his pony, Captain Crunch.

Andrew on his pony, Pepper, with Dad.

Jay weighing in less than most of the pumpkins on site! ha!

Scott, Jay, Andrew, Bill and Mary - don't let this pic fool you - it was hotter than it looks and very crowded - we didn't stay too long. Ellie and I went too - our first outing as a family of 5 + 1 aunt and 1 cousin.

Pops and Jay carving pumpkins!

Halloween Night -my little ghouls!
Andrew is ready to join the circus! This little clown costume once belonged to a little 2 year old Martha, hand made by PatsyMom. Jay wore it 2 years ago and I can't wait to see Ellie in it too!

Argghh Maty! Halloween night, we started out with a pre-party in the cul-de-sac and then Scott and Pops walked around with Jay and Andrew. When they made it back home, Jay's bucket was overflowing with candy and he declared, "Daddy, we won!" Jay may not like the candy, but he's a competitor. This is also a vintage costume, belonging once to my brother, Will. There are some modern enhancements, the hat, vest with parrot, and sash. The parrot is from the swing Ellie sits in - just pinned on! hee hee Pops, Mimi, Ellie, Andrew, Scott, and Jay

What next...

Who: Scott Marcille
What: pre-op for emergency appendectomy
When: September 29, 2010
Scott woke up ~2am Wed. morning with severe abdominal pain and finally asked me to take him to the ER ~4:30am. The doctor quickly diagnosed Scott's pain as an appendicitis. Thank goodness my mother was still here, who gracefully got out of bed to mind our 5 day old daughter, and watch the boys during the morning while I sat with Scott at the hospital before, during, and after his surgery. We came home from the hospital yesterday at 1:30pm. Scott is fine and doing great, just resting and healing from his procedure. Thank you again for your well wishes! We are looking forward to settling into a "normal" routine!

Going Home!

We left the hospital Sunday and headed home to start our life as a family of 5. Ellie is a sweetie and still captivates our hearts. Thanks again for all your well wishes!

The boys and PatsyMom come for a visit

PatsyMom brought Jay and Andrew down this afternoon to meet their baby sister, Ellie. Andrew smothered her with kisses and although Jay was quite taken with her, he seemed more interested in my hospital bed with the automated buttons. Enjoy the pics and thanks again to all for the well wishes! PatsyMom with Jay, Andrew and her first grandaughter, Ellie.

Jay wanted to hold her right before he had to leave - so cute!

Our family - there wasn't a single shot with all of us looking.

Jay loved the hospital bed - he even told me that his bed at home needed some "buttons."

Andrew showering his love!

Andrew seriously couldn't leave Ellie alone.

Check Jay out playing around with the TV/Nurse/Light remote.
