Christmas Morning

The Christmas loot from Santa - Jay was super excited - it was so much fun watching him catch the Christmas spirit and BELIEVE in the magic!
Dr. Jay at your service - a super cute playset from Mimi and Pops.
Jay and Scott playing CandyLand; Jay requested this game from Santa about a week before Christmas - we still have no idea where he first played this game.
The Hot Wheels Car Wash from the Festis has been a big hit!
More paraphernalia for Scott's men den...

The Pink Pig

What to do with a 3 year old and a 1 year old when school is out and activities are done. Well, we went down to Macy's at Lenox Mall on Monday, December 21st to ride the Pink Pig. I definitely drank some sort of mommy kool-aid since I waited for this ride with the boys for 2 hours, and we went when it first opened in the morning! NEVER AGAIN! Surprisingly, Jay and Andrew were great and enjoyed the ride.

All dressed up

A couple of pics of the boys and us dressed up over the holidays. This one of the boys was taken before church, Sunday December 19th. Scott and I went out to his company Christmas party, Friday December 11th.

Holiday Fun!

Jay and I made Christmas cookies one afternoon - he was so proud of all his creations and just look at the mountain of green sugar on the Santa Claus!
A few nights later, Scott decorated a gingerbread house with the boys. Jay loved this, I think the end result was quite good!

Jingle Bells

Jay's preschool class showed off their singing skills, or lack thereof, for the parents followed by a cookie and punch social. Here's a little clip of Jay and his class:

Thanksgiving in Denver!

We traveled to Denver for Thanksgiving this year. The flights out there and back to Atlanta were relatively uneventful. I guess after flying with little ones a few times it gets just a little bit easier. The weather was beautiful during our entire stay in Denver and the boys had a BLAST playing with their cousins, Mitchell and Cameron. Mimi was gracious to watch our boys while Scott, Jim, and I went to Boulder to see CU vs. Nebraska; let's just all hope the Buffalos pull out of their slump in 2010/2011. Needless to say, it was a beautiful day in Boulder. We also enjoyed an adults night out on the town to celebrate Jim and Donna's 40th anniversary. Coincindentally, Pat and Lew Gravely will also celebrate their 40th anniversary this month! Isn't that crazy!!!! We are so lucky to have parents who have been fortunate to be married this long! On our last day we took Jay and Andrew to the Children's Museum. They had a great time. We started out our tour with the stationary fire truck on the 1st floor. Jay was completely OVERWHELMED and loved climbing and playing all over it. It's a great place to go with kids in Denver.
Happy 40th Jim and Donna - what a yummy, fun dinner!!!! (from L to R: Jim, Donna, Scott, Martha, Kelly and Mike Festi)

Jim, Donna, and Scott with Andrew and Jay - this was towards the end of our visit, Jay was beginning to break down a bit - but he sure was tired and slept on our plane ride back! :)

Mary's Baby Shower

Wow, it's been a while since my last post! Alot has been going on since Andrew's birthday and it's hard to believe that the end of the year is almost here! Here are pics from my SOLO trip to Jacksonville in mid-November to celebrate Mary's baby boy-to-be! Our Mom hosted a very fun, chi-chi luncheon at a cool little place called BB's Restaurant. About 25 people attended and showered Mary with all the necessities for a little one! Scott was AWESOME and took great care of the Marcille boys all on his own - a classic boys weekend!
Mary Morcom opening presents with Nick, and Cousin Debbie visiting from Bradenton, FL.

PapaLew and Nick stopped by for dessert and to help haul away all the new baby gear!

The happy, rested, parents-to-be, Nick and Mary Morcom!

Look at me!

Just look at Andrew, such a big boy now - walking on his on, new shoes and walker toy - what more could a 1 year old want? Yesterday he went to the pediatrician for his year checkup. He weighs 21.5 lbs. and is 29.5 inches tall; the shots were a heartbreaker - a total of 5, including the seasonal flu and H1N1. Jay went too and was a great supervisory big brother; he also received the H1N1 so the boys are ready to defend the nasty virus - hooray! Have a good weekend, we are finally getting spoiled here in Atlanta with beautiful fall weather. xo mgm

Our little talking Andrew... sort of

It's funny what kids pick up as they grow. Most of you know our energetic watchdog, Maggie, who barks at most anything, particularly other dogs, squirrels, kids, anything that moves really. As a result I am constantly saying, "Maggie quiet" and so Andrew's first words include "quiet" along with "ma ma" and "da da." The video captures him in action (somewhat) with some prompting from Mom.

Andrew is walking...

Andrew started walking a couple of weeks ago, he is getting more and more steady on his feet. It's so hard to believe that he is officially a toddler now. More special Andrew posts to come this week all in honor of his 1st birthday on Wednesday.

Happy Halloween!

Despite the drizzly, cool, rainy weather, Jay and Andrew had a great Halloween. For weeks I asked Jay what he wanted to be for Halloween - I'm not sure he has completely grasped the concept of dressing up - but his #1 response on a consistent basis was "I wanna dress up like Daddy." Scott was completely dismayed by this and really wanted him to dress up as anything else but eventually I convinced him to indulge Jay and so..... here we present Mr. Jay Marcille, Future VP of Sales. He was so excited to carry his rolling luggage around the neighborhood and "Trick or Treat" for candy. Scott was a trooper and went around with Jay, who quickly learned that Halloween was all about the FREE candy! Andrew the monkey and I stayed back at home handing out treats to all the little ghosts and goblins to grace our front door. Andrew LOVED the candy bowl... this guy learns FAST! We hope you all had a great Halloween! xo M
